Preparation
Peel the potatoes and cut them into fries using a crinkle cutter. Rinse with water and soak for about an hour. Then rinse again and pat dry. Toss with oil and bake in the oven at 200 °C (fan) for about 25 minutes, or fry in an air fryer at 190 °C for 20–25 minutes. If baking, open the oven door 2–3 times to release steam. Shake the fries 2–3 times in the air fryer.
If using granules as a minced meat substitute, soak according to the packet instructions.
Finely dice the onion and sauté in a little oil. Add the minced meat (or substitute) and fry until browned. Stir in the tomato paste and fry briefly. Deglaze with chopped tomatoes and water. Season with spices and simmer for 10 minutes.
Add the beans and simmer for another 5 minutes. Meanwhile, slice the spring onions into rings. Add half of them to the chilli.
Top the cooked fries with the chilli. Drizzle with garlic sauce and sprinkle over the remaining spring onion rings.
